NARRATIVE STORY: MILIEU, A Transient Story

Illustration Studio, Fall 2015: This project dealt with producing a composition using sequential imaging and narrative story. Concerned with the concept of time, I explored the technique of paper marbling and overlaid surrealist inspired imagery. I used this opportunity to explore the analog process of paper marbling and superimposing digital drawing.

This story will be combined with those of other students and published in a collective book "IN MEDIAS RES: Living In The Moment."

An animatic version of Milieu, A Transient Story will be featured in NC State's Hunt Library Immersion Wall in the spring of 2016. [shown here]

ILLUSTRATIVE BOOK COVERS

Illustration Studio, Fall 2015: This projected involved making nine book covers (3 series of 3), using a subject matter of my choosing to reach three specific and vastly different demographics. Using a unique design style for each set, I aimed to improve upon what has been done in the past with the books that I chose while expressing and expanding my own personal style of digital art. By making three distinct style references, I was able to create a collection that could stand on its own or as a cohesive group.
